Advantages of Laminotomy

This is the preferred lamina surgical method as it can be done with only a few incisions on one or both sides of the spine. The procedure removes abnormal tissue and relieves pressure on spinal nerves. Its sister surgeries, laminectomy and laminaplasty, are more complex and require more incisions.
